NordVPN Black Friday 2026: Buy Now or Wait for $2.99?

NordVPN Black Friday 2026 is already under way, with Basic listed from $3.49 a month and three extra months on the two-year plan. But there is a reason to look beyond the headline discount: NordVPN has also announced a lower Basic price for November 24–December 1.

I would start with two questions: do you need a VPN now, and will you use the extra security tools in a more expensive bundle? Those answers matter more than whichever card has the biggest percentage on it. This guide combines live English-language pricing checked on October 23, 2026, with the campaign schedule supplied to affiliate partners.

What the current Black Friday offer actually costs

The USD pricing page currently lists the following two-year offers. The three bonus months bring the initial subscription to 27 months; the monthly figure is an average across that period.

Is Complete worth the extra $13.50?

In that snapshot, Complete costs $13.50 more than Basic across the first 27 months, before any tax. That is a more useful comparison than 78% versus 69%: it tells you the actual extra commitment.

Basic is the starting point if your main aim is a VPN for your phone and computer. One subscription supports up to ten simultaneous connections. NordVPN provides apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, although features vary by platform.

Basic includes Dark Web Monitor and basic scam, phishing and ad blocking while connected to the VPN. Complete adds more advanced protection, including antivirus, plus a password manager and 1 TB of encrypted cloud storage. NordVPN’s bundle comparison explains the features and regional differences.

Start by listing the services you already pay for. If a password manager and cloud storage are already covered elsewhere, a bundle may add overlap rather than value. The lower Basic price is scheduled for November 24

NordVPN’s partner announcement gives the two-year Basic plan a separate promotional window from November 24 through December 1, 2026: $2.99, €2.99 or £2.29 per month. The company describes this as its best price of the year. That is NordVPN’s promotional claim, not an independent audit of every offer.

The $2.99 price is an upcoming offer, not the price available on October 23. Its final upfront cost still needs confirmation. When the offer begins, check the subscription length, bonus months, taxes and total shown in your order.

Black Friday itself falls on November 27, inside that cheaper window. The broader campaign began on October 21, and a further phase runs December 2–9 with announced starting prices of $3.49, €3.49 or £2.69. If you can wait and only want Basic, November 24–December 1 is the period I would watch.

The announcement gives November 24 as the changeover date, without an exact time. If the lower price has not appeared when you check that day, revisit the offer before paying.

Read the percentage and the renewal separately

The “up to 78%” headline is a campaign maximum for certain markets and plans. It is not the saving on every Basic subscription. NordVPN calculates the displayed saving by comparing the introductory monthly equivalent with the monthly equivalent of the annual renewal price.

At the October check, the displayed annual renewal was $139.08 for Basic and $219.48 for Complete. Neither is the same as the introductory monthly equivalent. NordVPN’s renewal guidance says subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel auto-renewal, and prices can change with advance email notice.

Save the order confirmation and set a reminder before renewal. It is an easy way to make the next decision deliberately, especially when the first subscription lasts more than two years.

Does buying now make sense?

If you need a VPN today, the current offer is available and gives you a concrete price to compare. If you are replacing a subscription that still has weeks to run, there is less reason to rush. For Basic, the announced November window is the stronger price to investigate.

For a short trip, compare the total commitment with shorter plans too. A low monthly average only becomes good value if the subscription fits how long you intend to use it.
